The tornado that ripped through Appomattox, Virginia in February 2016 rocked the entire area. Hundreds of houses destroyed, and cars lifted acres away from their homes. Two volunteers found a flag in a the remains of a house and pinned it up to what was left of a cross near a local church.
Liberty University students volunteered by moving boxes and other valuables out of homes ready to collapse. This classic portrait of Jesus reflected the constant moving of students in and out of the moving truck.
During the Appomattox Tornado cars, TVS, and refrigerators were strewn all across neighborhoods. This was the site of three homes two days earlier.
A local Lynchburg, Virginia man sells Donad Trump campaign slogan buttons outside of Demoss Hall at Liberty University. The line wrapped in and around buildings within a half mile of Trump's speaking event. The man's best selling pin at Liberty University was "Bomb the s*#! out of ISIS."

Navy Blue Angels pilot 6. Jeff Kuss flies over Liberty University's Williams Stadium on what would be he last flight in an air show. Marine Captain Kuss was killed in a crash June 2nd, less than 2 weeks after performing in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Brazilian soccer player Kaka visits Liberty University. Students and other spectators traveled from as far as Miami Florida to see the celebrity up close.
